Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team and collaborate with a leading investment bank on a critical infrastructure migration and transition project. This role demands a highly skilled project manager with a strong technical background in IT infrastructure and networking.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure migration and networking upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Lead and manage a complex infrastructure migration project, focusing on reference data transitions.
Manage the transition of complex IT systems, working closely with cross-functional technical teams including network engineers, system administrators, and other infrastructure specialists.
Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints and in alignment with business goals.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project while maintaining quality standards.
Serve as the key point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring clear communication across teams.
Mentor and support junior members of the IT Project & Planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant Project Management certifications (APM, PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Extensive experience managing infrastructure and networking projects, particularly in the context of large-scale migrations or upgrades.
In-depth understanding of IT systems across all areas, including networks, servers, and databases.
Ability to navigate the financial services sector, with a solid grasp of banking environments and operational requirements.
Proven track record of delivering change and leading complex projects in high-pressure environments.
Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a focus on customer service and delivery excellence.
