Akamai Consultant at 101 Ways, London/Remote, £650-£750 per day (Outside IR35)

101 ways is an digital consultancy that helps great clients do great things. We work with a variety of organisations from the likes of Tesco, DAZN, Just Eat, Zoopla and many others to solve challenging problems and build great digital products.

We're ramping up on a number of engagements and need Lead Consultant to join our engineering team (Outside IR35)

Day to Day Activities

• Software Development: Write, test, and debug code for complex features, distributed systems, or legacy migrations. Support on designing and optimising deployment pipelines.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support on complex, high-impact projects that align with OKRs, ensuring successful delivery of software solutions.
• Code Review: Review and provide constructive feedback on code submissions from team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, maintainability, and high-quality software.
• Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and external partners
• Mentorship: Actively mentor and coach engineers at all levels, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
• Research & Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and share insights with the organisation, while developing and maintaining the team technology roadmap and leading on the strategic approach to monitoring and maintaining production systems.

Tech

• Akamai, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions are must have requirements
• Experience in designing and maintaining high-traffic infrastructure in a production environment
• Expert knowledge in DNS, CDNs and WAFs, whilst also understanding how to secure such systems
• Experience defining and implementing networking and routing strategies
• Tech stack includes: Akamai, Azure, Apigee
• Very good communicator who is comfortable leading and navigating solutions that may touch multiple teams across different organisation structures
• Once a week anchor day in office (Paddington)
