Contract Duration: 6 months!
Location: 1 day per week in Wakefield– UK
Job Description
- Project Business Analysis: Connectivity support for transformation, test and resilience book of work planning and delivery.
- Business & Technical Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and network security specialists, to elicit, document, and manage business requirements for network security-related projects.
- Risk Analysis: Identify and assess security risks related to network infrastructure, propose mitigation strategies, and collaborate with the technical teams to ensure security controls are adequate.
- Project Documentation: Develop comprehensive project documentation, including security requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and test cases.
- Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between business, project and technical teams to ensure that test uplift, network and security solutions are well-understood and meet the needs of both parties.
- Planning: Support in-year planning, requirements capture and definition as well as future year business case development.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project progress, risks, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management, and provide recommendations for decision-making.
- Testing & Validation: Support the testing phases of projects, including security testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation reviews to validate that the network security measures meet the defined requirements.
- Change Management: Assist in the development and execution of change management plans to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of network security solutions.
- Training & Support: Work with IT teams to provide training materials, guidelines, and support to business users related to network security systems and protocols.
Skills & Competencies:
- 3+ years of experience in a business analyst role preferably in IT, security or network/infrastructure, data centre or cloud.
- Financial services, banking and previous HSBC experience is preferable.
- Experience working on security projects related to testing, infrastructure, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control solutions would be beneficial.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence as well as Microsoft Office is ideal.
- Experience working in supporting programme or project outcomes, within Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid environments, with an understanding of project management principles.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in gathering and documenting requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
