Contract Description

Synechron is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to work with a leading FS institution on their Murex platform with a specialisation in Back Office functionalities. The BA will be responsible for understanding and detailing the business requirements for Murex, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring that the platform is effectively utilised to meet Back Office operational needs.

Role:

  • Interface with Back Office teams to understand their workflows, challenges, and data requirements, encompassing both Financial Static Data and Non-financial Static Data management
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications for trade management, viewer settings, and post-trade workflows for contracts and deliverables
  • Employ accounting knowledge to ensure that the Murex system aligns with financial reporting and reconciliation standards
  • Offer expertise in reporting mechanisms within Murex, providing solutions for internal and regulatory reporting needs
  • Perform gap analysis, develop project plans for Murex upgrades and customisations, and contribute to the strategic development of the platform
  • Lead system testing efforts to validate new modules or enhancements, ensuring high quality and functional performance
  • Maintain current knowledge of Murex updates, market trends, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Back Office operations
  • Proven track record with Murex, especially in Back Office modules, trade management, viewer, and post-trade workflows
  • Deep knowledge of Financial and Non-financial Static Data, and how these are managed within Murex
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application to trading systems and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and methodologies, with the ability to design and interpret reports within a Murex environment
  • Technical knowledge of market data, including how it is sourced, processed, and utilized within trading systems
  • Desirable skills include familiarity with SQL, XML, and other relevant technologies

London based however will consider remote for right candidate - sponsorship not available. Long term contract (1+ years), x3 days in office.
