We ensure effective and efficient definition, planning, management and execution of global and regional change programmes that are driven by risk, automation & transformation requirements, or that are mandatory in nature and driven from the CCO or COO functions. Programmes of work often span the organisation and may have HSBC Group or GBM sponsorship.

This Senior Business Analyst role is to support and understand structures, operations, processes, systems and technology product and service offerings, policies and systems as part of the Securities Services Strategic Execution team. The role will work closely with operations and technology subject matter experts to map complex As-is processes and translate requirements into detailed process flows, requirements documentation and work with technology and systems experts to identify and deliver digital and systems solutions.

Role Purpose:

Business analysis enables the right choices in the changes to be executed. The discipline assesses complex business processes, identifies needs, captures and analyses As-is processes including issues and gaps to support the creation of detailed requirements and contribute to the assessments and recommendations of options available to ensure the right solution is identified, agreed and progressed in a structured manner.

Business Analysts play a pivotal role in how the team delivers and embeds change, working in conjunction with the business and our delivery partners. They are typically responsible for As-is process mapping, Requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management. Business Analysts work collaboratively with delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options. In systems related projects and programmes, the role holder may also support software delivery and IT Operations with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements and designs, often representing the voice of the customer and business in these discussions

The Business Analyst’s change management activities span from early impact analysis and as-is process mapping; through to designing and delivering change interventions (e.g. communications, training, support, organisation alignment); and tracking and taking actions on change readiness, adoption, and feedback. Business Analysts are also responsible for Implementation Management, implementation activities will also include managing implementation readiness and managing the early stages of implementation (e.g. pilot). In reengineering projects, they work closely with the Process Consultants in analysing and re-engineering business processes. Business Analysts will be involved with design workstreams or teams.

This specific role will work on the Securities Services Pelican programme as a senior business analyst to support the detailed requirements and definition and specification for the new strategic operating model and strategic platform rollout. Focus will be on the delivery and transformation of the end to end billing operating capability, including the rollout of digital technology solutions and strategic software platforms to underpin SSv billing globally.
