We are a well-established web and marketing agency based in Hillington, and we're currently seeking a talented and reliable PHP developer to join our team on a freelance basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled developer to collaborate with a dynamic agency and contribute to a variety of exciting projects.

Role Overview:

As a freelance PHP developer, you will work closely with our team on a range of projects for clients across Scotland. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and optimising custom applications developed using the Laravel framework. These projects include complex online booking systems and dynamic pricing directories that require a high level of expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, update, and enhance custom Laravel-based applications.
• Collaborate with our internal team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing codebases.
• Implement new features and improvements based on client feedback.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and optimised for performance.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on the Laravel framework.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• A solid understanding of best practices in web development and application architecture.
• Ability to demonstrate experience through a project portfolio or relevant qualifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, consistent communication and attention to detail.

Client Interaction:

As part of this role, you will be expected to communicate directly with clients. While most interactions will be via email, there may be occasions where Microsoft Teams meetings or in-person meetings at our Hillington office are required. Therefore, excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach are essential.
