Role: TM Technical Specialist (Transaction Monitoring) AVP & VP

Location: Hybrid - Glasgow 2 days a week onsite

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (inside IR35/Umbrella Company)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our premiere Banking clients supporting the TM (Transaction Monitoring) Workstream on a large-scale programme.

Role And Responsibilities

This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving team supporting TM Process Change & Regulatory objectives whilst delivering a first class technical SME service to stakeholders and colleagues alike.

This role provides the opportunity to work in partnership with other teams as well as our wider business functions.

As a specialist member of the Transaction Monitoring Team you will be responsible for:

  • Process Implementation –to include supporting the delivery and embedment of:
  • Process Changes
  • Regulatory/Policy changes
  • Provide SME input to Procedure & Technical guidance
  • Supporting ‘Lessons Learned’ activity including Root cause analysis of issues and items escalated.
  • Self-development to ensure knowledge is relevant to the current market and the TM teams.
  • When required, support the team in completing any change impact assessments.
  • Work with QA/QC and Team Leaders to identify and correct any knowledge gaps or broken processes.
  • Supporting any audit & rigour assessments to ensure accurate information is being shared internally & externally.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Support:

  • Be a lead technical resource in support of change initiatives impacting TM, providing input, guidance and where appropriate sign-off on behalf of functional area/processing team
  • Accountable for embedding the understanding and operation of new processes and policies to include launch support and onward implementation support, coaching and documentation.
  • Detailed and thorough understanding of the AML policy & requirements to collect and analyse AML information that has been provided by Clients or sourced from the public domain.
  • Accountable for providing End to End dedicated and robust specialist TM expertise throughout the investigation Process. Act as a technician in all aspects of process and policy for TM.
  • Use strong communication skills to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Use strong time management skills to complete complex, business critical tasks within pressured timescales.
  • Use strong problem solving and team working skills to resolve complex, high-priority cases, while ensuring the Bank’s regulatory requirements are always met.

Teamwork:

  • Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to support TM Leadership in delivering an outstanding performance across the team, demonstrating excellent behaviours and positively embracing and contributing to the TM change & Optimisation programme.
  • Support and advise the operation on all matters relating to robust TM Investigations,enhancing and developing their knowledge base.
  • Contribute to a supportive and proactive working culture by sharing knowledge and expertise with other team members and providing training to colleagues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other teams & functions to consistently deliver an excellent Client experience

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

  • Use strong communication skills to interact professionally with our offshore and onshore teams, business units and Financial Crime.
  • Act as an SME on all TM related policy and regulatory requirements, collaborating with financial crime and Legal when required.
  • Support and provide advice to the TM teams, working together to provide an excellent service to the service buyers

Must haves:

  • Will be a subject matter expert in AML Transactional Monitoring and have a strong understanding of Financial Crime regulations and policies (AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption).
  • Excellent communication skills: must interact professionally with Clients and internal stakeholders at face-to-face meetings or via phone or email.
  • Time management skills: must manage workloads effectively to complete complex and high-priority tasks within target timescales.
  • Analysis & Judgement: must undertake TM analysis with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge and experience of working across multiple TM workstreams would be advantageous.
  • Formal AML/Financial Crime qualification (certificate or diploma).
  • T raining/coaching or project management experience.
