Reporting to Governance, Risk and Compliance Counsel this role will be accountable for ensuring a strong culture of compliance and risk management within Cornerstone. The role will be required to create and drive the programme for Beacon training and compliance, providing operational end to end project management. The role holder will ensure company compliance with competition law, and work with the shareholder compliance teams to drive the right behaviours around information sharing.

This role will be required to support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel in delivering and further developing the Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks for Beacon and lead on key workstreams, including new training initiatives, policies, and procedures in Cornerstone.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

• Review/ create Beacon Training and Compliance programme

• Responsible for end to end programme creation for the delivery of Beacon

• Responsibility for compliance with competition law (information sharing) under our joint venture protocols

• Implement robust and effective controls to ensure that information sharing occurs in a manner that is consistent with competition law requirements

• Escalate any reported issues or breaches of information sharing rules to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel

• Provide training and supporting guidance materials for internal and external stakeholders on compliance with competition law and Beacon requirements

• Investigate and report on Beacon breaches

• Be the “go to” person to internal and external stakeholders for all compliance advisory matters

• Support business intelligence team in categorizing data in line with Beacon compliance and manage access sign off requests.

• Support the Governance, Risk & Compliance Counsel in delivering and continuously developing the corporate governance framework, specifically in relation to the Beacon programme

• Work closely with Compliance Specialists within the shareholder Compliance teams, to build and successfully deliver a programme relating to ensure compliance with competition law/information, both internally and externally

• Review relevant e-learning modules and drive stakeholder engagement and compliance in line with competition guidelines.

• Work with the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Counsel to continue to build strong working relationships with the Compliance teams generally to ensure alignment and share knowledge/best practice.

• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for support, raise awareness and manage ongoing risks.

• Work closely with legal firms to support delivery and relationship management plan.

• Manage key stakeholders and customers through the legal compliance and obligations of the MSA.

• Create reporting suite to provide the necessary reports and updates to the management team and stakeholders and customers when required and in line with reporting schedule.

• Produce a monthly report on Beacon information sharing breaches to the Deputy General Counsel and the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel as part of OKR reporting.

• Support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Counsel in developing a new Compliance Framework to support the updated strategy and Beacon obligations.

• Support and contribute actively to regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.

• Responsible for staying informed on relevant laws and regulatory updates and communicating to the wider business.

• Work with the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Counsel in the streamlining and automation of services.

• Review the annual Beacon Audit process, to ensure compliance with external auditors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholder compliance teams and key stakeholders.

• Manage and contribute actively to compliance against the risk management framework, with a key focus on Beacon.

• Create specialised risk management and compliance training for Beacon for internal stakeholders.

• Support the Governance, Risk, & Compliance Counsel in providing Beacon specific risk reports to the business.

 

Ideally; you’ll have:

 

• Experience with creating and driving a compliance programme within an organization.

• A level of commercial acumen to actively seek cost saving and efficiencies by innovation

• Good working knowledge of project management principles

• Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
