Web Manager - Working in Joomla at EMPOWER Translate (Global) Ltd, Remote, Part-Time, £Freelance Rate

Job Summary
We have been working with our current freelance web manager for 14+ years, and she is now retiring in October. We are looking to build a long-term partnership with a freelance web developer and manager based in the UK or Europe, who is prepared to work in Joomla. A full handover of current systems will be provided.

We have around 1-2 days' per month web management, plus varying design needs on top of this.

We will be looking to redesign two full websites over the next 2 years.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage existing websites using Joomla (we are open to moving to Wordpress if needed)
- Research and implement any required updates, new software or systems as needed
- Ensure ongoing website function and security
- Implement wireframes and mock-ups into working web pages
- Ensure websites are optimized for various devices, browsers, and accessibility needs
- Manage databases and user logins

Skills
- Experience with web builders (preference for Joomla, or willingness to learn Joomla)
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in site accessibility, updates, and basic coding
- Willingness to learn gradually about our translation agency business, specialising in market research translations

About Empower
We are a small translation agency based in Chepstow, Wales (UK). You would be working directly with our Market Manager who is in charge of creating and sending new content to you - whether updates or full redesigns. Our Marketing Manager has no knowledge of web management, so you will have full autonomy over the websites.
