We are searching for a seasoned z/OS Systems Programmer with a robust track record not only in Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities but also in managing sophisticated projects. The ideal candidate will be an agile and innovative professional who takes initiative in driving enhancements and delivering solutions that transcend routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, customization, and maintenance of the z/OS operating system and related software products.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to execute complex project work and deliver optimal system performance.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance system reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Drive the planning and implementation of major system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for intricate system issues, offering timely resolutions.
  • Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer with a proven history of project engagement and initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of z/OS internals, system utilities, JCL, SMP/E, RACF, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with Mainframe hardware configurations and connectivity.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and lead projects from conception to completion.
