About this role.
Bakkavor is currently mobilising a programme to replace it’s incumbent UK ERP solutions with SAP S4/Hana, across the next 3-5 years.With funding secured, Bakkavor needs to augment existing solutions architect resource to continue to meet its departmental needs. A requirement for a 2 contract solutions architects to join Group IT within its business systems team has been identified, on a 6 month basis.
Two contract solutions architect are required, one with specific focus on integrations and application development, one with more generalist experience across solutions architecture in a business systems organisation.
We are looking for experience solutions architects who can provide consultancy, lead design activities and produce solutions that support Bakkavor’s overall architectural strategy. Working under the direction of the Enterprise Architecture and the Head of Business Systems, you will ensure that business requirements are met in line with defined standards and best practices. You will produce high level designs, concept designs and investment proposals for review by Group IT leadership team colleagues and for broader design authority review.
The ideal contract solutions architect must be highly experienced, technically proficient and provide excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills. They must have great problem solving skills, a passion to produce quality and a willingness to support and drive colleagues in understanding the options available to them from a technological standpoint.
This role will predominantly be working with Group IT colleagues, but interaction with business stakeholders is required, as is third party interaction with system integrators, professional service partners and system vendors. You must be able to deal with conflicting interests and priorities with aplomb, and be able to work at pace without losing quality from your deliverables.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in solutions architecture and experience in working in a FMCG environment, and can hit the ground running, however candidates from all backgrounds will be considered. Candidates with experience in AIS, SAP S4/Hana or similar ERP solutions would be of particular interest, but not necessarily essential.
We are looking to commence this role imminently so availability for a start date no later than 9th September 2024 is also required, wherever possible.
