RE Partners is seeking a very experienced maverick, leader, communicator, builder, and change agent to join a brand-new team as a Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, business process innovation, and technology of the application that will serve as the core platform for real-time derivatives pricing, risk management, and data analytics for our global clients.

 

RE Partners is a preferred vendor for one of the world's largest USA banks. You will collaborate closely with the bank's executive team to define the starting point of the strategic Enterprise Data Management platform under the CIO’s and CFO’s supervision. You will work with data engineering and development teams to break down solution requirements, understand and develop comprehensive product strategy, product backlog, and solution design, and interface with various stakeholders and planning sessions.

 

The Business Analyst's primary responsibility is facilitating effective communication between business users and technologists. This involves conveying information clearly and concisely, ensuring a logical and comprehensible exchange in collaboration with the Technology team. The overarching goal of this position is to actively contribute to ongoing iterative exploration, investigating business performance metrics, and driving strategic business planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer valuable input during development and implementation phases, participating in formulating and defining systems scope, objectives, and necessary enhancements for complex, high-impact projects.
  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, proposing viable risk mitigation options while considering the business implications of technology application to the current business environment.
  • Consult with business clients to discern system functional specifications, collaborating with multiple management teams and other units to align with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging IT developments and evolving business requirements, providing recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards.
  • Deliver in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking, defining problems, developing innovative solutions, and influencing strategic functional decisions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and/or other team members. Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, focusing on safeguarding the firm's Reputation and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Banking/Financial industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication. • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and influence across organizational lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques. Proficient in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Python, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite skills.

 

Bonus points:

  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI
  • Proficient in Python
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Certifications related to software development
