Senior Data Analyst

London or Manchester (hybrid working model, 2 days a week onsite, 3 days remote)

Excellent day rate available

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months day rate contract, inside IR35, as a Senior Data Analyst. The Senior Data Analyst will work as part of the Network Traffic Management portfolio team. The Senior Data Analyst will work on the NTM Portfolio approach which will focus on the intelligent use of capacity, to minimize investment whilst optimizing performance and will pragmatically drive several collective initiatives spanning the DCC business and work collaboratively with DCC’s customers.

What will you be doing?

· Understand and adopt the concept of Network Traffic Management with optimisation of network utilisation leading to efficiency in demand throughput, capacity and costs.

· Pioneer the identification of new data sets, drive the scope and delivery into production quality data, working with Data Science & Analytics team.

· Lead the critical thinking to collect the correct data for NTM initiatives through familiarisation with current data, with continuous drill down to (appropriate) next level to obtain conclusive outcomes.

· Proactively monitor & identify data trends and insights against the current network and performance measures providing recommendations leading to efficiencies and cost reduction.

· Monitor and analyse customer usage demand profiles to align with best practice for a fit with best practice and provide findings with impacted measures. Circulate findings with customer relationship management and demand forecasting teams and provide recommendations and drive change.

· Provide insights, solutions, and recommendations to address problem statements from the candidate initiatives.

What are we looking for?

· Extensive experience in a senior data analysis position with strong experience in data analysis using tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI and AWS data insight tooling.

· Ability to utilize programmatic and quantitative methods to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets, as well as apply mathematical, statistical, and other data-driven analysis to address intelligence questions

· Proven ability in using statistical analysis, predictive modelling and explanatory modelling to identify trends

· Ability to work well under pressure and achieve results within the scheduled time-frame.

· Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience, proven, exceptional writing presentation and verbal communication skills

· Experience in SQL, Perl, Python and Power BI
