Vmware Architect at Brillio Europe Limited, London, 3 Months, £Contract Rate (Outside IR35)

Here at Brillio we are looking for a solid VMware Architect to join us on a outside IR35 contract.

This role will operate as the VMWare/Infrastructure SME within the Brillio team consolidating/documenting current state and progress from a mixed team of stakeholders. Will apply technical knowledge and experience to findings to apply best practice and treatments to create a plan/roadmap to optimize existing environments prior to an EOL forced Hardware Refresh during Q3 2025. Provide technical advice relating to storage migration from 3par to vSAN technologies.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Work collaboratively with the client to assess the current VMWare estate to understand what the client has and how it can be optimized prior to transitioning.
• Document & Validate Hardware requirements for new Infrastructure required that supports VMWare ESXi 8.X.
• Create Roadmap for transitioning between Legacy and modern VMWare platforms.
• Discovery and identification of issues with VMWare Migration plan, prioritisation and remediation plan for issues.
• Discovery of Optimization opportunities relating to the clients VMWare estate ie minimize the amount of hardware that will be required for the Q3 2025 Hardware refresh.
• Work Collaboratively with wider Brillio engagement teams to assist with the development of the enterprise roadmap for migration to Cloud Compute.
• Produce a detailed list of optimization initiatives for the VMWare estate.
• Produce a detailed plan for the VMware Hardware Refresh
• Assist the wider Brillio engagement teams in producing an enterprise roadmap for the clients migrations to Cloud over a 3 year period.

As a Vmware Architect it is essential you have the following skills:

• Experience of operating as a strategic advisory consultant for hybrid hosting and public cloud-oriented solutions for customers moving from Legacy on premise and co-lo data centres
• Highly experienced Infrastructure/VMWare Architect (minimum 10 years) with proven skills across all technologies as well as overarching architecture and best practice.
• Experience in VMWare Hardware requirements.
• Experience in VMWare Capacity management.
• Experience in VMWare Demand Management.
• Experienced in defining and articulating technology strategy and transformation programmes to exec and SME level audiences
• Experience in costing transformation programmes across scoped technology initiatives driving both strategic and remedial goals.
• As this engagement will require working collaboratively with client engineering teams, good Interpersonal skills will be required.
• Able to prep, drive and participate in workshops.
