As a Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:Map the current functions, outputs and structures of the APC's Career Management Operations (CM Ops) and the Support Branches as directed by SO1 Org Design. Identify the rationale behind individual operating models and make recommendations on outputs, structures, ownership and linkages to deliver a more balanced, responsive and flexible CM Ops and Support Branch within the directed Work Force (WF) envelope. Map the interactions of each the mentioned branches between their internal and external stakeholders.Identify the issues / challenges facing the Branches within the current operating context, including capability shortfalls. Identify any gaps within the CM Ops ecosystem, including those relating to the use of digital platforms / apps. Identify key themes in feedback from members of each Branch. Deliver against the specific ToRs provided by APC for each branch/Area.Provide recommendations for optimisation in line with specified ToRs - the review of the branches is to be informed by an awareness of the digital opportunitiespresented by ongoing and anticipated digital initiatives and anticipated levels of tech maturity. Essential SkillsMust be able to provide a detailed brief (including the methodology and milestones) of how they will analyse the respective branches.Proven experience of being the lead Business Analyst and not just a BA team member.Track record of developing and delivering creative organisational change options in a pressured operating environment Proven ability to elicit information and better working practices from people. Experience in employing a wide mix of analysis skillsets to interrogate broad and variable datasets contained within a variety of areas e.g. SharePoint, face-to-face and internal working practices An inquisitive mindset, able to see the bigger picture of people change, advising APC leaders on the options for change and the optimisation of current working practices. Ability to work at pace, prioritising and juggling conflicting demands constantly. Ability to exploit the opportunities afforded by digitalisation and to identify efficiencies that can be realised within individual teams or at Branch level, or discretionary outputs which could cease Desirable SkillsPrevious exposure to the military, in particular the Army, would be highly beneficial in allowing the successful applicant to integrate into the APC and start to deliver effect.
