Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

 

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

 

To support our journey and rapid growth we are looking for a Scrum Master/Process Automation Lead to join us. Reporting to our Embedded Software Manager, you will drive the automation of the software development process to improve both the quality and delivery time of our safety critical products. 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Chair regular stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives with the Software Development Team
  • Ensure the Azure boards are maintained and accurately reflect the state of development
  • Owning the impediment backlog
  • Develop meaningful, relevant and inciteful development metrics and dashboards
  • Establish a safety critical DevOps process framework compliant with RTCA DO-178C DAL A
  • Lead the deployment of Azure DevOps with CI/CD pipelines for automated test activities
  • Peer review artefacts produced during the development of the Evolito Propulsion System
  • Support communication between the Software Development Team and the wider project team
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate cross-team activities
  • Responsible for the verification aspects of the software development process for Design Assurance Level (DAL) A of RTCA DO-178C
  • Ensure the use of development best practices and support process improvement activities.

 

Skills and experience required:

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Software or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in the development and verification of embedded software in safety critical products, e.g. to RTCA DO-178C (or DO-178B) DAL A or B or ISO26262 ASIL D/C
  • Experience developing code in C programming language
  • Experience of scripting, for example in Python
  • Agile software development and DevOps methodologies and industry best practices for software development
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, codeBeamer or Dimensions CM
  • Creative problem solver, with a logical approach to implementing solutions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment within a small company
  • Self-motivated with the determination to succeed
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Previous experience of being a Scrum Master within an Agile Development Team
  • Integration of tools & test environments to enable Continuous Integration and Test
  • Knowledge of common graphical modelling languages such as UML and SysML.
