Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

 

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

 

To support our journey and rapid growth we are looking for a Software Project Coordinator to join us. Reporting to our Embedded Software Manager, you will be the software representative for a key project, representing the interests of the project both within Evolito and externally with the customer and certification authorities.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Be the main interface between the customer project and the Software Development Team
  • Responsible for the project specific set of software requirements
  • Responsible for the project specific software effort for each software sprint cycle
  • Project specific integration for each sprint cycle
  • Triage of any project related software issues
  • Peer reviewing of artefacts produced during the development of the Evolito propulsion system
  • Providing technical expertise to the project software team through all stages of the application lifecycle
  • Following the approved software development process for Design Assurance Level (DAL) A of RTCA DO-178C
  • Ensuring the use of development best practices and support process improvement activities.

 

Skills and experience required:

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Software or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience as an engineer in the development of embedded software in safety critical products, e.g. to RTCA DO-178C (or DO-178B) DAL A or B or ISO26262 ASIL D/C
  • Previous experience developing code in C programming language
  • Familiarity with model-based development methods and auto-coding tools, such as MATLAB
  • Familiarity with Agile software development & DevOps methodologies and industry best practices for software development
  • Experience with requirements and lifecycle management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, codeBeamer or Dimensions CM
  • Creative problem solver, with a logical approach to implementing solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment within a small company
  •  Self-motivated with the determination to succeed
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry communication protocols
  • Knowledge of motor control algorithms and implementation
  • Knowledge of common graphical modelling languages such as UML and SysML.
