IN SHORT

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our expanding team. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products through both manual and automated testing. This role demands demonstrable experience across various industry domains, working in Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies, with a full understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and TDLC (Technology Development Life Cycle).

This role is based in Manchester with a minimum of three days in the office, and international travel may be required

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct quality assurance testing of new products and software versions before release in an Agile/Hybrid model.
  • Investigate fault reports, reproduce issues, identify bugs, and thoroughly document them in our defect-tracking system.
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases using Azure Test plans or Zephyr.
  • Work in Azure DevOps and Jira.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using low code automation tools.
  • Liaise with internal teams (developers, product owners) to identify requirements.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance our testing methodology and improve the efficiency and quality of our QA processes.
  • Coaching & mentoring junior colleagues.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Excellent time management, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal and external SCRUM teams are essential. Experience working closely with the business during UAT is also required. We seek an experienced all-rounder who is willing to learn and grow in this role.

  • Proven experience across various industries in QA/Testing areas.
  • Proven experience working with Agile SCRUM/Hybrid SDLC.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of writing User Stories.
  • Proven technical & analytical skills, including the ability to understand and reason about complex applications and systems.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Certifications in Agile, Prince 2 and ISTQB.
