MySQL DBA/MariaDB DBA at Vettabase Ltd., Remote, Part-Time, £60+ per hour

MariaDB/MySQL Consultant (EU timezones)

Our new consultant will work closely with our customers. Normally, it means:

- MySQL/MariaDB administration BAU tasks;

- MySQL/MariaDB troubleshooting;

- MySQL/MariaDB performance tuning;

- MySQL/MariaDB query optimisation.

You may be asked to perform any database administration task, including but not limited to backup automation, high availability setup, monitoring setup.

Background for this position includes the following:

- 5+ years of experience as a MySQL/MariaDB DBA or data engineer;

- Understanding of MySQL/MariaDB configuration;

- SQL skills;

· Knowledge of Linux, Bash and popular database tools.

Knowledge of a programming language (Python, Perl) or automation software (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is desirable; it will make you stand out.

This position is part-time and 100% remote.

Initially, we ask you to be available 20 to 40 hours per month.

You will work on a contract basis.
