We are looking for a highly experienced business continuity and resilience leader to re-evaluate (with Senior Leadership); re-energise; and then embed a pragmatic and sustainable business continuity programme, for this exciting and growing FTSE 250 business. The role will operate on a a 6-month period, within a hybrid work environment; and will be overseen by the Head of Internal Audit, Risk & Control.

Success in this role looks like:

• Re-evaluate with Senior Leadership and update the existing approach, including the Group Business Continuity Policy, Plan and associated documents; and establish a new Group Business Continuity strategy
• Establish a new programme of work to deliver the strategy, aligned to ISO 22301, ready for execution
• Help shape a permanent role to sustainably manage and deliver the business continuity programme going forward; and assist with the recruitment thereof
• Communicate with key stakeholders, including members of the UK Leadership Team, on the importance of effective business continuity management and updates on the status of the programme
• Assistance in aligning business continuity to the existing approaches to crisis management, working with other members of the core Crisis Management Team

What we are looking for:

• Holds at least a Certificate from the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) and ideally Membership (MBCI), or equivalent
• Significant experience working in or with Business Continuity functions, ideally within a listed manufacturing, retail and distribution business
• Exposure to and experience of working with crisis management
• Strong communication skills and ability to credibly present to, influence and collaborate with Senior level management
