Contract Description

  • Ideal start date Monday 9th September
  • New platform build for blue-chip client
  • 6 months +
  • Outside IR35
  • 2 days in person working / week.
  • We're looking for high proficiency in Automation testing
  • We'd love a QA who is comfortable with exploratory and helping to write/maintain some tests, and some coding experience outside of testing context would be really beneficial.

We're looking for a QA contractor to come and join the ranks of our lean, passionate and dynamic team. Generally working as the sole tester or in a small team of testers, you will be encouraged to work autonomously.

You'll be comfortable working alongside clients and business stakeholders in a multi-disciplined team surrounded by some of the industry's best. Not content with just testing and looking for bugs, we work closely with all disciplines in the team to help build robust and reliable software by instilling quality across the product pipeline.

Some experience we are seeking from you:

  • You must be familiar with testing native-based technologies across a wide range of browsers and devices.
  • You'll need to be adaptable as we are always looking for better/new ways of doing things, which includes trying out new technologies.
  • You need to be used to working in an Agile manner. Kanban is a bonus.
  • You will be confident in performing all integration, regression and functional testing required on your project.
  • You'll have experience working with common defect tracking software such as Jira and will be comfortable running defect triaging sessions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to discover the root cause of bugs found in order to prevent similar issues reoccurring

And for some bonus points:

  • Experience with, or willingness to further automated tests and strategy
  • Interest in developing monitoring and alerting strategies to minimise the impact of bugs found after a product is live
  • Non-functional testing experience including security, performance and accessibility
