Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative WebGL Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and optimising websites with integrative gaming elements and complex 2D animations. You will work closely with our creative team to bring visually stunning and interactive experiences to life while ensuring optimal website performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement WebGL-based interactive elements for websites and gaming features.
• Collaborate with designers and creative teams to translate complex creative concepts into functional and visually compelling web experiences.
• Optimise web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices.
• Integrate 2D animations and other creative elements into websites while maintaining high performance and low load times.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WebGL and other interactive components.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to best practices in web development.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in WebGL, web development, and related technologies.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a WebGL Developer or similar role in web development.
• Strong proficiency in WebGL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with 2D animation tools and techniques, particularly in a web environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with complex creative concepts and collaborate effectively with creative teams.
• Solid understanding of website optimisation techniques, including performance tuning and load time reduction.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries that support WebGL and animation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in game development or interactive media projects.
• Knowledge of Three.js or similar WebGL frameworks.
• Background in graphic design or animation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
