Role Title: Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) Specialist

Location: London

Employment Type: day rate contract

 

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and support of MTR equipment across a large-scale enterprise environment. This role involves working with a variety of MTR devices such as Yealink, Poly, and Logitech, as well as providing project escalation support, writing documentation, and developing scripts to improve efficiency. The specialist will play a key role in ensuring the readiness of MTR infrastructure and supporting the deployment of new technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration of Meeting Space Equipment:
  • Set up and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms equipment, including devices from Yealink, Poly, and Logitech.
  • MTR Project Escalations:
  • Handle project escalations related to MTR deployments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • MTR Documentation Writing:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for MTR configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • MTR Scripting:
  • Create and refine scripts to improve the efficiency of MTR commissioning tasks and overall system performance.
  • Technology Updates:
  • Stay informed on the latest MTR technology updates and share relevant information with the company to ensure systems are up-to-date.
  • Video Conferencing Support:
  • Commission, test, and provide early-life support for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Windows and Android devices.
  • Client Meetings:
  • Conduct initial MTR infrastructure readiness meetings with clients to ensure all requirements are met before deployment.
  • Device Management:
  • Support and manage approximately 1,600 MTR devices, including deploying over 600 devices within a 12-month period.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with MTR Equipment:
  • Proven experience in configuring and supporting MTR devices, including Yealink, Poly, and Logitech.
  • Project Management:
  • Ability to manage and escalate MTR-related projects, ensuring successful delivery and resolution of issues.
  • Technical Writing:
  • Strong documentation skills, with experience in creating technical guides and documentation for MTR systems.
  • Scripting Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in scripting languages to automate and optimize MTR setup and commissioning processes.
  • Technology Updates:
  • Keen ability to stay current with emerging technologies and updates in the MTR and video conferencing space.
  • Client Engagement:
  • Experience conducting infrastructure readiness meetings and engaging with clients to assess and meet their MTR needs.
  • Scale Experience:
  • Experience supporting a large-scale environment with 30,000 users and managing a significant number of MTR devices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Teams Rooms or video conferencing technologies are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
