Elasticsearch DevOps Engineer

London or Manchester – hybrid working model (2 days a week onsite / 3 days remote)

Excellent day rate available

 

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months, inside IR35 day rate contract as an Elasticsearch DevOps Engineer. The Elasticsearch DevOps Engineer will be key to our approach to enhanced performance management at Smart DCC, managing the toolsets, processes and capabilities required to effectively deliver a world class operations Centre. The Elasticsearch DevOps Engineer’s responsibilities will be to build and enhance extra capabilities within Elasticsearch such as machine learning, trending, merging of datasets and identifying improvements.

What will you be doing?

· Advanced and Predictive Analytics - Development of advanced and predictive analysis and perform assessments based on the Total System framework.

· Data and Analytics Strategy - Works independently and provides guidance and training to others on analysing data trends for use in Ops use cases to guide the development of the Total System toolset.

· Security Improvement through AI - Create artificial intelligence algorithms that identify potential patterns or indicators of compromise in DCC logs, to be used in the defence of the environment.

· Cloud Security - Have expert knowledge of both Aws an Azure security controls and be able to design and implement all security controls required by the business

· Be the subject matter expert on all Elasticsearch tooling.

What are we looking for?

· Extensive high level experience in Elastic Search including implementation experience

· Extensive experience in a similar role

· In-depth understanding of the Ops performance landscapes and advances adversary tactics.

· The role requires an expert knowledge and experience of Linux, Windows, Azure, AWS, Elastic Search, Vulnerability management and Mitre Att&ck.

· Ability to work under pressure
