Role: Quality Assurance Analyst/Network Infrastructure Testing Engineer

Workplace Type: Should be able to travel to Travel to Corsham & Farnborough, 2 days a week

Employment Type: Contract Inside of IR35

Duration: 6 months to start with

Candidate Should be able to start immediately

Clearance: Should be SC cleared or Eligible

Role Details:

Test Analyst must be based in the UK and eligible for SC clearance or has SC clearance already. The role is to support a Programme in the transition & transformation of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Any experience of working on National Grid would be advantageous but not essential.

Must Skills:

  • Cisco Switch / Router console commands
  • Extensive hand on experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, firewall, access points, Load Balancers
  • Strong working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN and routing protocols
  • Strong working experience in layer2 technologies and protocols including VLANS, VTP, Link Aggregation
  • Handling Fibre optic cables
  • Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures
  • Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing
  • Network and Service Management tool set (e.g. StableNet)

Test Analyst skills

  • Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
  • Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance)
  • Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements
  • Collect Test execution evidence, Reporting execution / defect in ALM
  • Interpret Network infrastructure design from HLD/LLD
  • ALM Test case management, Defect Management, Reporting
