Data Analyst Senior (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months

As a Data Analyst Senior your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Work with the G7 Team Lead and sub-team leads to build on existing work in the analytical space, and specifically to deliver projects such as
  • Dynamics CRM Quality – Power BI dashboard to show quality of enquiry and contact records created on Dynamics.
  • Referrals – Power BI dashboard to show volume and type of internal casework referrals made and responded to.
  • Re-engineering and bringing up-to-date existing Power BI dashboards that have, in some instances, existed for several years; adopting more robust business rules and better data management practices.
  • Help to develop a highly skilled sub-team, in particular:
  • Providing expert advice on data design to inform decision making, approaches and/or to resolve difficulties.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues including those in the wider group, contributing to meetings and sharing workloads as appropriate.
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise to build capability across the wider team.
  • Developing self by identifying gaps in knowledge and proactively seeking opportunities to address them, and then upskilling the team in turn. 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Experience of developing (often innovative) complex performance MI and analytical/ modelling insight in support of operational decision-making, having managed at least one high profile analytical project.
  • Strong understanding and experience of using Power BI, especially DAX and M.
  • Experience of creating complex queries to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data using SQL.
  • Understanding of different data models/structures.
  • Strong experience of engaging various stakeholder groups to identify requirements, secure buy-in and manage expectations.
  • Good experience of analytical quality assurance, documentation and version control under time and resource pressure.
  • Good team working ethos and strong communication skills particularly in the presentation of analysis with impact.
  • Experience of advising on innovative solutions to technical problems and building capability within a team to implement them.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
  • The ability to train and develop others, and to transfer key skills and knowledge to them.
