Contract Description

We're Synechron, a global consultancy Laser-focused on accelerating digital initiatives in financial services. With over 14,500 members of staff across 17 countries and a unique mix of end-to-end digital, business and technology services, we help clients solve complex challenges with modern and innovative solutions.

We're big enough to be taken seriously, yet small enough to operate with an agile, open, relationship-driven approach. Our clients come to us with problems that need genuine thought, intelligence and knowledge; we're not just putting bodies on seats.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in architecting and building DevOps solutions to provision end-to-end infrastructure on both AWS and Azure. Expertise in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Shell Scripting (Bash preferably) and Python are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps processes and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development life cycle.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for cloud-based environments on Azure and AWS.

Requirements:

  • Strong DevOps experience with a focus on Azure DevOps, GitHub, and BitBucket.
  • Expertise in using Terraform to build end-to-end architecture on Azure and AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services on Azure and AWS.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and Scripting languages are a plus.

We have stunning 7th floor offices in London's city, close to Liverpool Street and Moorgate train stations. We're a stone's throw from the Bank of England and a number of bars and restaurants, 5-minute walk from St Pauls Cathedral and shopping Centre. The office features a roof terrace with comfortable chairs and tables and you can enjoy our rather popular coffee machine, teas, biscuits, cans of drinks etc.
