Job Description:

Linear is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing end-user support, including hardware and software troubleshooting, device encryption support, and inventory management. This role requires frequent interaction with VIP users and handling various technical support tasks, ensuring all equipment and devices are functional and up to date.


  • End User Support:
  • Provide comprehensive support to end users for any technical issues or concerns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.
  • IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change):
  • Execute IMAC processes to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Software Installation and Support:
  • Install and support various software applications to ensure optimal performance and usability.
  • Device Encryption Support (BitLocker):
  • Assist users with BitLocker encryption to secure sensitive data on devices.
  • Hardware Installation and Support:
  • Set up and maintain hardware equipment, ensuring all devices are in working order.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware issues.
  • VIP User Support:
  • Provide specialized support for VIP users, addressing their unique technical needs promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Keep track of inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly maintained.
  • Mobile Device Support:
  • Support and troubleshoot mobile devices to ensure seamless functionality for all users.
  • Printer Support:
  • Manage and support printers, resolving any issues that arise to ensure uninterrupted printing services.

Equipment Provided:

  • Mobile phone with data (must be fully charged at all times)
  • Working laptop with Teams (must be fully charged at all times)
  • Console cable
  • Cleaning material


  • Proven experience in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Experience with BitLocker or other device encryption software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage inventory effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in supporting VIP users.
  • Proficiency in mobile device and printer support.
