Data Analyst (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 12 Months

Contracting Authority: Bank of England

Location: Hybrid – London

This role is part of the Bank’s Commercial Operations team, which looks after both the running and optimisation of the current systems and is involved in the programme to move to a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

The scope for procurement within this new system includes Sourcing, Purchasing, Contracts, Supplier Management, eCatalogues, and Reporting.

 

This role will be involved in both current and new systems with a primary focus on the Data aspect.

 

As a Data Analyst your main responsibilities will be

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders on the data migration aspects of the ERP project from a procurement perspective by, managing the collection and cleansing of all procurement data held on current procurement systems, and checking its integrity so data can be transposed to the new system’s procurement modules.
  • Supporting the ERP project with the transition of its current eCatalogue to the ERP eCatalogue module by undertaking appropriate mapping of procurement category codes and finance cost centres.
  • Supporting the configuration and development of the ERP reports by transposing the current procurement dashboards and future reporting requirements into the new system’s reporting module.
  • Supporting the ERP project with the archiving of the current procurement system’s data.
  • Supporting in ensuring that data migration allows for trend analysis from the current data to be continued within the new system.
  • Working with system providers to improve the way the Bank uses its procurement data.
  • Supporting in the development of a future operating model which would provide post-go live support to stakeholders.

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
  • Experience collecting and cleansing data.
  • Data migration experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience - Notably creating user-friendly spreadsheets.
  • Data Analysis experience - Strong analytical skills.
  • Significant experience of database management, data analysis and data visualisation (e.g., Tableau).
  • Capability to translate data into meaningful insight for system migrations.
  • Experience of procurement systems (e.g. Oracle) and processes.
  • Previous Oracle/Oracle cloud or ERP experience.
  • Ability to synthesise data from a variety of sources.
  • Demonstrable excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team.
