Role: Screening Data Analyst (AVP)

Location: Hybrid - London 2 days a week onsite/remote

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (inside IR35/Umbrella Company)

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic large-scale operation in the banking industry.

A Customer Screening data analyst role responsible for the delivery of data outcomes required for the Customer Screening deliveries on the project and transformation of end-to-end AML processes.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Undertake business analysis to assess needs, capture requirements and define solutions that will maximise the value delivered to stakeholders across portfolio of strategic data initiatives as allocated
  • Adhere to group mandated Data Quality Standard, capturing and managing data issues within defined framework
  • Definition of requirements and specifications for proposed data remediation efforts in order to meet regulatory commitments, risk controls and business objectives
  • Conduct impact assessments and business cases to senior stakeholders to obtain buy in for CDO proposed recommendations
  • Facilitate engagement with relevant data domain owners to strengthen the data quality, control environment and drive towards a data-led end state.
  • Assist the Screening Data Manager in the ownership of Data Council and CDO Forum submissions
  • Support the Screening data manager in improvements in data maturity within allocated data domains and in conjunction with the overarching CIB business strategy
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and opportunities for automation to support capacity creation initiative
  • The ability to find solutions to problems and make informed decisions about which action to take next by facilitating in sessions with key stakeholders to drive and agree conclusions
  • Understands the requirements and perspectives of stakeholders and integrates into team’s understanding of complex situations
  • Adapts to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary, supporting their team in making any necessary changes

Experience & Skills Required

  • Must be able to capture business requirements and translate into technical requirements, switching between roles in order to reach common visionary goals.
  • Experience in business analysis within a data management capability
  • Experience in banking applications and infrastructure
  • Expertise with MS studio, preferred MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Confluence.
