Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer, specialised in Azure, to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role involves managing our Azure cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring robust monitoring and serverless operations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud capabilities and improving overall operational excellence.

You will be working on an exciting project, alongside other highly skilled engineers to build and deliver an industry-groundbreaking platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for a range of projects using Azure DevOps.
  • Develop scripts for automation of cloud deployments and operations.
  • Monitor the health and availability of services using Kubernetes and Azure-specific tools.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring stacks that provide insights into application performance and help in proactive issue resolution.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies for cloud-based technologies.
  • Ensure security best practices are adhered to in managing cloud and infrastructure as code configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps roles within cloud environments, with a strong preference for expertise in Azure.
  • Proficient with scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security protocols and best practices.
  • Experience with SQL server on On-Prem
  • Experience with Azure Cosmos DB on the Azure side
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications in Azure or Kubernetes will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with other cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development in .NET or Java environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Contract Details:

  • Initial 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
  • Day rate: £500 - £700, depending on experience.
