Senior Digital Project Manager (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 10 Months

Contracting Authority: Department for Work and Pensions

Location: Hybrid Working (Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle office twice per week)

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.

As a Senior Digital Project Manager your main responsibilities will be: 

 

  • To work within the Communication and Collaboration Services (C&CS) team in DWP delivering M365 focussed projects.
  • Leading projects relating to Microsoft 365 products.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, ensuring these are kept up to date and reflective of the projects true state.
  • Communicating to stakeholders from across the organisation and at all levels the background, progress, and value of projects.
  • Work with the project team to identify any risks, issues and dependencies.
  • To update any progress/status reporting such as those within DWP Place with associated RAID statements, ensuring these are escalated as required.
  • Use data to help influence decisions and enabled data driven decisions to be made with confidence.
  • Collaborate effectivity with the CCS team to understand interdependencies and potential effects within the M365 environment of your changes.
  • Effective management of Digital and non-digital dependencies to ensure these are delivered intime for the project needs.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships and act as a point of escalation for engineers if they require assistance with technical queries form the vendor.

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Previously been responsible for delivering Microsoft 365 based projects.
  • Experienced in Microsoft 365 suite is essential.
  • Experience working within Waterfall and agile.
  • Strong planning experience.
  • Experience in a digital project management role, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex stakeholder environment managing relationships to achieve common outcomes through influencing and building momentum.
  • Experience of project reporting in ServiceNow.
  • Experience of delivering projects within Government/DWP.

 

Desirable:

  • Purview experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience of Microsoft Exchange (nice to have but not essential).
