Business Impact Analyst - Networks

Brillio are urgently seeking a Business Impact Analyst with experience across Network Architecture

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and prioritising the organisation's critical functions within Network Architecture.
  • Identifying the most important products, services, tools and processes which need to be maintained throughout disruptions.

  • Identifying critical assets, including PROC esses (with their maximum tolerable period of disruption - MTPD) and systems.

  • Assessing the dependencies within network architecture and also external elements.

  • Carrying out rigorous analysis to assess risks and priorities

  • Evaluating potential impacts due to accidents, disasters, emergencies and threats.

  • Asses which areas are currently prioritised through recovery efforts and confirm if these are correct or need to be revised as part of a future mode of operation.

  • Supporting the BC/DR consultant to analyse the current Business Continuity Plan and suggest improvements as necessary as part of the future state operations.

  • Looking at the outline strategies for maintaining essential operations during disruptions and providing advice as required .

  • Assess the level of maturity of the organisations current training around business continuity

Key deliverables for the project will be;

  • Documented guiding principles and definition of done for the BC/DR Scope
  • NIS CAF EP interpretation documented for BC/DR

  • Comprehensive report on the current state of the BC/DR identifying quick wins, opportunities to accelerate/consolidate and areas of challenge/concern.

  • Recommendations for cross-stream engagement and documentation of dependencies of streams across programme

  • Identified and documented gaps in current state BC/DR Services documentation, operatin g model and service - fed in to backlog where not closed as part of initial phase.

  • Solutions option deck detailing options to remediate BC/DR Services in the attainment of NIS CAF EP compliance.

  • Identified and documented gaps in the BC/DR technical service

  • Backlog for remediation of Backup BC/DR to meet NIS CAF EP

  • Quick Wins tracker plus any quick wins that can be delivered during initial phase


  • Minimum 5 years of BC/DR experience

  • Proven experience of undertaking Business Impact Analysis relating to Network Architecture and associated security controls

  • Experience in Utilities market would be advantageous.

  • Able to prep are for, drive and participate in workshops.

  • Certified MBC P (Master Business Continuity Professional)/CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional or similar.
