We are seeking a skilled Data Specialist to join our team and help us achieve our goals through efficient data tracking and analysis using Google Sheets.

 

Role Overview:

The Data Specialist will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and managing a scalable Google Sheets system to track and analyze social media posts and campaigns. This role involves daily updates and maintenance of the sheet system to provide actionable insights into trends, success metrics, ROI, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and proficiency in Google Sheets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

System Setup and Implementation:

  • Design and develop a scalable Google Sheets system to track social media posts and campaigns.
  • Create templates and automated workflows to streamline data entry and updates.
  • Ensure the system can accommodate daily updates and provide real-time insights.

 

Data Management:

  • Work with our VA to Collect, clean, and organize data from various social media platforms.
  • Implement data validation rules to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Set up automated data import and export processes where applicable.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and trends.
  • Analyze data to provide insights into social media performance, audience engagement, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Generate regular reports and present findings to stakeholders.

 

Optimization and Scalability:

  • Continuously improve the Google Sheets system for efficiency and scalability.
  • Implement best practices for data management and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced functionality.

 

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the social media and marketing teams to understand their data needs and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to team members on using the Google Sheets system.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Specialist or similar role, preferably in social media or marketing analytics.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, including advanced functions, scripting (Google Apps Script), and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with data collection and management from various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with additional data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of social media metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques.
