We're looking for a talented and passionate Backend Node.js Developer to join our growing team!

Ideally you love delivering high quality results and think pro-active to find solutions and identify

potential threats without being asked.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. You'll leverage your experience with AWS to deploy and manage our applications in the cloud, and integrate with third-party APIs like Twilio, Stripe, and Google APIs.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement APIs using Node.js and TypeScript

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end developers, product managers) to understand requirements and define solutions

- Build and maintain secure and scalable backend services using best practices

- Work with AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda to deploy and manage applications

- Integrate with third-party APIs like Twilio (communications), Stripe (payments), and Google APIs

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team

- Stay up-to-date on the latest Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and relevant third-party API technologies

Qualifications:

- 2-3 years of experience in backend development with Node.js

- Strong understanding of JavaScript and object-oriented programming principles

- Experience with TypeScript for building robust and maintainable code

- Experience with MySQL databases and TypeORM for object-relational mapping

- Proven experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda)

- Experience integrating with third-party APIs (Twilio, Stripe, Google APIs a plus)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Passion for building high-quality software
