Highfield is a global leader in regulated and work-based learning qualifications, end-point assessment, training materials and e-learning, and the winner of the King's Award for Enterprise.

We support learners in over 100 countries to achieve their educational aspirations and are currently looking for a subject matter expert to act on a consultancy basis specialising in working as a Business Analyst. Work will be completed flexibly on an ad-hoc consultancy basis.

As a subject matter expert, you will support us with writing and reviewing exam questions and the development of our new Level 4 Business Analyst end-point assessment apprenticeship standard.

We need you to carry out quality assurance activity in the Business sector to ensure that learners who are certificated through Highfield Qualifications have met the correct standards and that the training providers are supported.

What does it involve?

Observing learners in their place of work or in simulated environments across the UK and confirming that the assessments have been carried out correctly. You will also have discussions with the training provider to offer support and guidance to the assessment and internal quality assurance team based on your findings.

You will conduct reviews of paperwork from home to ensure that the assessment decisions provided by the training provider are correct. Discussing findings with the assessor or internal quality assurance team to confirm your quality assurance decisions and whether certification can be granted.

What do you need?

  • recent relevant experience of the occupation gained in the last two years or significant experience of Business Analysis and evidence of continued professional development
  • preferably holds a relevant professional qualification, such as the International Diploma in Business Analysis or the Certified Business Analysis Professional qualification although this is not a must

However, you don’t need any previous experience of quality assuring for an Awarding Organisation, but it is preferable that you have assessed or internally quality assured in this area before. However, if not, we will provide you with all the training you need at no cost to yourself and then you will be paid for pro rata as and when you work for us. Our rates are £175 for an 8 hour day.
