Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer, specialised in Azure, to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role involves managing our Azure cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring robust monitoring and serverless operations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud capabilities and improving overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for a range of projects using Azure DevOps.
  • Develop scripts for automation of cloud deployments and operations.
  • Monitor the health and availability of services using Kubernetes and Azure-specific tools.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring stacks that provide insights into application performance and help in proactive issue resolution.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies for cloud-based technologies.
  • Ensure security best practices are adhered to in managing cloud and infrastructure as code configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in DevOps roles within cloud environments, with a strong preference for expertise in Azure.
  • Proficient with scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes and serverless architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications in Azure or Kubernetes will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with other cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development in .NET or Java environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Contract Details:

  • Initial 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
  • Day rate: £500 - £700, depending on experience.
