Contract Description

iOS Developer

We are seeking a number of experienced iOS Developers to join Nutmeg, JP Morgan's Digital Wealth manager in London on an initial 6 months contract. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be at the forefront of the organisations integration of Nutmeg into the Chase UK app. Key things we're looking for candidates to have include SWIFTUI, XCTest, XCUITest, Combine, Clean architecture, dependency injection, MVVM, and CI/CD amongst others.

Job Summary

The Nutmeg app enables our customers to invest with confidence, ease, and simplicity. The iOS team is looking for a number of iOS Developers who are not only enthusiastic about technology, but passionate about design and focused on delivering a world class customer experience. As the company grows and expands, the scalability of the app and architectural improvements required to build a robust application are becoming a key focus of the team.

You will join an existing Mobile team of over 30 engineers, consisting of 3 iOS squads and 3 Android squads. Each squad has a dedicated Squad Lead and Product Manager.

As part of an iOS squad, you will work on enhancing and maintaining the existing native iOS application, which now has over 100,000 monthly active users and a crash free rate of 99.99%. The app currently supports a minimum version of 14 allowing us to consistently innovate and make use of the latest in Swift technologies such as SwiftUI and Combine. We currently have a single iOS application, a home screen widget extension, and integration with the Chase UK app which will continue to be evolved.

Job Responsibilities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Commercial experience on native iOS mobile application development
  • Excellent knowledge of Clean Architecture with Swift and Swift Package Manager
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience of iOS application deployment (testing, approval, publishing to Apple store)
  • Experience of automated CI/CD processes and tools and ability to set up and maintain pipelines (we use Bitrise but this is not a pre-requisite)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting in order to maintain a production application
  • Good understanding of REST and what it means to work with APIs
  • Experience with Git flow
  • Good communication skills and can work well within a delivery team and manage interactions with other parts of the organisation, such as Product and Operations
