We here at Genesis are looking for two 2nd line network support engineers to provide support and project delivery as part of a dedicated team based on a major client site in Hinckley covering various locations. Key Responsibilities : Project implementation, working to HLD and LLD requirements. Peer review documentation and method statements, and input to network designs. Create and improve existing network documentation, and creating LWI documentation. Provide expert network knowledge to ensure all incidents are handled efficiently and service is restored within the agreed SLA. Pro-actively manage the network, identifying improvements and anomalies in the network to proactively prevent network incidents from occurring. Co-ordinate incident resolution activities across a number of internal teams and 3rd party suppliers ensuring customer incidents and changes are completed within agreed SLA. Work with the Programme and Project Manager teams, and Service teams to ensure timely and expert delivery of all project work Assist with the analysis of the root cause of faults and the production of subsequent RCA reports Required Skills: CCNA & CCNP Excellent knowledge of Cisco IOS and devices Routing and switching knowledge, MUST have experience on devices such 2900 and 4300 routers Win2008/2003 server experience Previous data network background with experience of large-scale IP networks and related WAN/LAN technologies including, but not limited to TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF. Data Centre installation experience Understanding of security implications and applications Able to demonstrate understanding of enterprise network tools Full, UK driving licence Desirable Experience with 2800, 6500 & 4500 Cisco VSS Implementation and support Cisco ACS Scripting and automation tools Length of contract: 8 to 12 months (starting first week on Jan 2020) Security requirements: SC/BS7858 We are looking to shortlist candidates for this position ASAP so please apply today for immediate consideration.
