We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer who will be field based, working with our Derby office covering work predominantly in WR post code for the first 6 months with PC/laptop and desktop support. The Field Service Engineer needs to be flexible on location as there will be a requirement to visit other customer sites and locations as required by the business. Providing IT Troubleshooting via telephone and remote support software Log all service tickets received via telephone, email and service portal and handle accordingly throughout the stages of the ticket Perform scheduled contract visits at customer sites and troubleshoot IT issues which cannot be resolved remotely Install and configure new hardware/software on customer sites Act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Service Desk Engineers by offering support and technical assistance, to aid the resolution of client queries. To assist in the monitoring of clients' IT systems via the monitoring software, to ensure scheduled back-ups run effectively, to investigate the cause of any alerts and to respond appropriately to them in order to resolve issues in a timely manner, within SLAs and to maintain client satisfaction. Documenting changes and infrastructure Providing high-level customer care and building relationships with customers Essential Skills Windows Server 2003/8/12/16 Windows OS 7, 8.1, 10 Microsoft Terminal Services/RDP Active Directory & Group Policy VMWare Storage Arrays (SAN) technology Exchange 2010, 2013 and Office 365. Firewall technologies (Sonicwall, Cisco, Draytek) The Field Service Engineer must possess basic knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and Apple OS. Essential Experience Previous experience providing 3rd Line technical support for a Managed Service Provider Extensive knowledge and experience of various IT systems Expertise in all activities associated with providing end user PC support and problem resolution on complex and difficult PC hardware and software issues Excellent problem solving and customer service skills Desirable Skills ●VBlock ●New/upcoming technology knowledge ●Linux/Unix ●StorageCraft/Backup solutions ●Hardware diagnostics using HP and Dell management suites If you feel you have the relevant skills and experience to hit the ground running as a Field Service Engineer, please email your CV with your salary / package expectations.
